The yearly enrolment is the way to activate your registration at the University of Trento in the first year, after the first enrolment, and to renew it every year until graduation.

It is necessary in order to access all services, such as taking exams, performing administrative tasks required by the course, eating in university cafeterias, and using library services.

It basically consists of paying tuition fees for every year of the course. Procedures and deadlines are different for the 1^st year and subsequent years and depends on the situation of every student according to the following details:

• students who pay tuition fees, calculated according to their economic status (ISEE)
• students who are entitled to the scholarship provided by the Opera Universitaria or tuition waiver
• students who are eligible for a Disability Exemption.

If you pay tuition fees

If you are enrolled in the 1^st year, you must pay the 1^st instalment of tuition fees available on Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) once the enrolment is confirmed according to the following deadlines:

• for bachelor's and single cycle degrees, the deadline is September 30, 2023 (if you enroll after September 30, the deadline of the 1^st instalment is indicated in the 1^st instalment payment slip)
• for master’s degree the deadline is within 7 days from the date of the enrolment confirmation email.

If you are eligible for the Opera Universitaria scholarship

If you want to apply for the Opera Universitaria scholarship and tuition waiver, you must follow these steps to activate your annual registration:

• apply for the Opera Universitaria Call for scholarship - a.y. 2023-2024 within the deadlines
• complete the enrolment within the deadlines of your study programme
• pay the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (€ 16,00) available on Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) within the deadline indicated in the bulletin.

If you enrol before submitting the Opera Universitaria application for scholarship, you might find in Esse3 the payment slip with the full amount of the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (without the waiver): you don't have to pay it, it will be replaced by the € 16.00 payment slip within 2 days after your application is submitted.

If you are eligible for disability tuition waiver

If you are eligible for tuition waiver due to disability of 66% or more or recognition of disability under Law 104/1992, Article 3, paragraph 1, follow these steps:

• submit the Declaration of disabilities, SLD or others special needs in Esse3
• complete the enrolment within the deadlines of your study programme
• pay the 1^st installment of tuition fees (€ 16,00) available in Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) within the deadline indicated in the payment slip.

If you enrol before submitting the “Declaration of disabilities, SLD or others special needs”, you might find in Esse3 the payment slip with the full amount of the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (without the waiver): you don't have to pay it, it will be replaced by the € 16.00 payment slip within 2 days after your application is submitted.

If you pay tuition fees

To renew your registration to the 2^nd year and subsequent years, you must pay the 1^st instalment of tuition fees available in Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) by September 30, 2023.

If you are eligible for the Opera Universitaria scholarship

If you are eligible to submit the application for Opera Universitaria scholarship and tuition waiver, follow these steps:

• apply for the Opera Universitaria Call for scholarship - a.y. 2023-2024 within the deadlines
• submit the UniTrento application A.y. 2023/24 Enrolment renewal for "Opera Universitaria 2023/24 scholarship" applicants
• pay the 1^st installment of tuition fees (€ 16,00) available in Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) by September 30, 2023.

If you enrol before submitting the Opera Universitaria application for scholarship, you might find in Esse3 the payment slip with the full amount of the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (without the waiver): you don't have to pay it, it will be replaced by the € 16.00 payment slip within 2 days after your application is submitted.

If you are eligible for disability tuition waiver

If you are eligible for tuition waiver due to disability of 66% or more or recognition of disability under Law 104/1992, Article 3, paragraph 1, follow these steps:

• if necessary, update your Declaration of disabilities, SLD or others special needs in your personal area of Esse3
• submit the UniTrento application A.y. 2023/24 Enrolment renewal with total exemption for disability or “handicap status recognition”
• pay the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (€ 16,00) available in Esse3 (log in - Menu - Administrative office - Payments) by September 30.

If you enrol before submitting the “Declaration of disabilities, SLD or others special needs”, you might find in Esse3 the payment slip with the full amount of the 1^st instalment of tuition fees (without the waiver): you don't have to pay it, it will be replaced by the € 16.00 payment slip within 2 days after your application is submitted. 

If you pay the tuition fees after the deadline, you will be charged with additional fees for the delay as indicated at the webpage Tuition fees.

If you plan to graduate by March 31, 2024, you do not need to renew your annual enrollment: unitl March 2024 the graduation session belongs to the a.y. 2022/2023, for which you should already have your annual enrolment in order.

As an alternative to the yearly enrolment, you must submit the "expecting to graduate" application if:

• you plan to graduate by March 31, 2024
• you need to benefit for UniTrento services until you graduate.
