Request for the dissertation topic
You have to fill in and send via email to the Student Support Service (supportodidatticalettsoc@unitn.it) the application form "Deposito titolo tesi laurea magistrale DSRS" (Thesis title declaration for master's degree of the Department of Sociology and Social Research) by the deadline stated for your final exam date.
If you choose a different Supervisor after requesting the dissertation topic:
- agree with you Supervisor about your decision. It will be up to your Supervisor to request the authorization to the Department Dean to give up its role
- send to the Student Support Service a new application form.
Registration for the final exam
Submit your degree application by the deadline in Esse3 - Degree award:
- answer the Almalaurea questionnaire
- fill in the thesis title
- fill in the name of the Supervisor and the Co-Supervisor
- attach the form 'Domanda di ammissione' (application form) undersigned by your Supervisor
- pay the contribution available in Esse3 - Registrar's office - MyTasse within the deadline indicated in the payment slip.
Thesis file upload
In Esse3 you have to upload your thesis file in standard PDF / A-1b format, according to the instructions published on the Degree thesis page of the library system.
The title page must follow the attached template.
Typographical indications ("Indicazioni tipografiche") are not mandatory.
Dissertation, graduation and Academic Board
The Dissertation is your presentation speech of your thesis work to the Academic Board.
The date, time and room for the final exam of each candidate and the composition of the academic board are published in the decree for the final examination a few days before the discussions as a news of the Department of Sociology and Social Research (in Italian only, by searching "Discussioni tesi LM").
After the publication of the Academic Board publicationyou must send a PDF file of your thesis by email to the President of the Academic Board.
The proclamation is the official moment of conferring the title of doctor or magistrale. The proclamation takes place immediately after the discussion.
Certificates, Diploma and Diploma Supplement
After graduation you can get various documents proving your title degree, depending on the purpose:
- a self-certification of degree or different types of degree certificate, available in the reserved area in Esse3 - Registrar's office - My Certificates
- the Diploma
- the Diploma Supplement.
