If you are a non European student enrolled at the University of Trento, you must have a stay permit valid for the entire duration of your study programme. Information on how to apply and renew a stay permit for study reasons can be found on the Non-EU citizens - stay permit.

If you live in Italy and you have a valid stay permit (also other than study reasons), you must upload a digital copy of your permit or the application receipt to Esse3. Remember to upload the most updated version every time you renew it.

Do you already have a residence permit?

If you already have a stay permit, kindly upload the scanned copy of it to Esse3 within 15 days from the issue date it, or from the enrollment  UniTrento if you had it  before enrolling in the University:

  • access Esse3 - Menu - Administrative Office - Stay permit
  • specify the typology of permit you have
  • enter the expiry date you find on the permit.

Remember to upload a copy of your permit to Esse3 every time you renew it.

Have you already submitted the application for the first release or for the renewal of your stay permit?

If you have only submitted your application for the stay permit through the Post Office, and you still do not have received it from the Immigration office, kindly upload the scanned copy of the receipt you were given at Post Office

  • within 15 days from your arrival in Italy, or from the enrollment  UniTrento if you had applied for it before enrolling in the University
  • at least 60 days before the expiry date of your current stay permit, if you need.

Access Esse3 - Menu - Administrative Office - Stay permit

  • specify the typology of permit you have applied for
  • enter the foreseen expiry date.
