This page describes the deadlines and administrative procedures for graduating: how to register for the final exam.

Registration for the final exam

Submit your degree application by the deadline in Esse3 - Degree award:

  • answer the Almalaurea questionnaire
  • fill in the thesis title
  • fill in the name of the Supervisor and the Co-Supervisor
  • attach the form 'Domanda di ammissione' (application form) undersigned by your Supervisor
  • pay the contribution available in Esse3 - Registrar's office - MyTasse within the deadline indicated in the payment slip.

Thesis file upload

By the deadline indicated you have to complete the following steps:

  • upload your thesis file in standard PDF format in Esse3 - Degree award
  • send a PDF copy of your thesis to the Supervisor and the Co-Supervisors.

After the publication of the Academic Board publicationyou must send a PDF file of your thesis by email to the President of the Academic Board.

Dissertation, graduation and Academic Board

The Dissertation is your presentation speech of your thesis work to the Academic Board.

The date, time and room for the final exam of each candidate and the composition of the academic board are published in the decree for the final examination a few days before the discussions as a news of the Department of Sociology and Social Research (in Italian only, by searching "Discussioni tesi LM").

After the publication of the Academic Board publicationyou must send a PDF file of your thesis by email to the President of the Academic Board.

The proclamation is the official moment of conferring the title of doctor or magistrale. The proclamation takes place immediately after the discussion.

Giving up the final exam

If for any reason you choose not to graduate from the exam you are enrolled in, you must send an email from your address @studenti.unitn.it to the Student Support Service and communicate that you are giving up the final exam.
