Summary
In order to be admitted to the Master’s degree in Musicology, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and match specific admission requirements.
Few positions are reserved to non-European citizens not living in Italy, who must apply within the specific call for admission.
Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy must follow the admission procedure which is published on this page.
Admission requirements for Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy
In order to be admitted Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy must have:
- a diploma corriponding to the "diploma di primo livello" of Italian Conservatorio
- a Bachelor's Degree achieved in Italy (including 18 ECTS L-ART/07 and L-ART/08) or abroad and recognized as appropriate by the course president
For the admission you need also:
- language proficiency at B2 and C1 level in two of the three languages of the Master's degree course (English, German and Italian)
- basic computer skills.
Finally, you must pass an admission interview.
Verification of admission requirements
In order to enroll in the course, you must submit the online application form for verification of admission requirements.
Documents required for evaluation are specified on the application form.
You can submit your application even if you have not graduated yet.
The outcome will be communicated by email.
If you do not meet the educational requirements
If you do not meet all the educational requirements you can take the needed exams within the deadline for enrolment by registering to single classes for Master's Degree courses.
Once you have achieved all the educational requirements, write an email to the Student support service in order to proceed with the enrolment.
If you do not meet the language requirements
Courses at CLA
If you don't have the appropriate knowledge of the English, German and Italian language at B2 level or of the English and German at C1 level you can attend the courses at the CLA for free. In order to enrol for this CLA courses, you need firstly to register to single classes for Master's Degree courses. In that way you will be able to attend the courses and to do the English, German and Italian proficiency test.
Proficiency test at the CLA
The CLA also organizes specific proficiency tests at level B2 and C1 in order to meet the language requirements for the Master's degree admission. You don't need to be registered to single classes to do this tests.

If you need to do the Italian or German proficiency test at level B2 and C1 please write an email to the Student's Support Service (email address: supportostudentilettsoc@unitn.it).
Once you have achieved the language requirement, write an email to the Student support service in order to proceed with the enrolment.
Interview
The admission interview is mandatory.
The Student Support Service will put you in contact with the president via email, you will arrange with them when and how.
How to enrol
When the Student Support confirms that you fulfill all admission requirements, fill in the enrolment request on Esse3.
The deadline for enrolment for the academic year 2023/2024 is 22 December 2023.
Yearly enrollment a.y. 2023/2024
As you receive from UniTrento the email confirming your enrollment application, you must complete the yearly enrollment within 7 days.
Yearly enrollment is needed to 'activate' your enrollment and be able to use all the services.
