Summary
The withdrawal from studies is a formal act in order to close your University career without completing it. (see art. 6 of the Regulations for student of the University of Trento).
If you wish to enroll again in the future, you must follow the admission procedure of the Program you have chosen. You can also ask for the transfer of the passed exams, if possible.
How to withdrawal from studies
You have to submit an online application and you will be asked to pay an administrative fee of Euro 16,00.
You can submit the application anytime of the year.
Conditions: tuition fees, tuition waived and scholarship
The application will be accepted only if your enrollment is regular.
Your enrollment is regular if you:
- meet the conditions set by the Opera Universitaria Call for tuition waiver and scholarship (if you are entitled with scholarship or tuition waiver
- or if you have submitted your withdrawal from studies application:
- by November 30th and you have paid the first installment of the tuition fees of the current academic year
- by March 31st and you have paid the first and second installment (only if required by your IseeUniversità) of the tuition fees of the current academic year
- after March 31st and you have paid all the the tuition fees of the current academic year (the second and third installment, if required by your ISEE Università)
- If you have been regularly enrolled for one academic year (or more) in the past and you submit the withdrawal from studies application before the renewal of the enrollment.
If your enrollment is not regular, your application will be temporarily suspended. The Students Support office will inform you accordingly.
Withdrawing from studies on the first year
Case 1. If you are enrolled in the first year and you want to enroll to another Study Program of the University of Trento within the current academic year:
- you do not have to submit the withdrawal from studies application
- inform the Students Support office by email about your decision to cancel the current enrollment and change it to another Study Program. Attach your Identity card also. You must send the email before completing the enrollment to the new Study Program, because you can not be enrolled in more than one Study Program of the University at the same time.
- if you have already paid the first installment of the tuition fees, you do not have to pay it again.
Case 2. If you are enrolled in the first year and if you enroll in a Study Program of another University by December 31st:
- if you have not paid any tuition fees, you do not have to submit the online withdrawal from studies application
- inform the Students Support office by email about your decision to cancel the current enrollment and enroll in the Study Program of another University. Attach your Identity card also. You must send the email before completing the enrollment to the new Study Program, because you can not be enrolled in more than one Study Program of the University at the same time
- if you have already paid the first (and second) installment of the tuition fees, submit the online withdrawal from studies application and then the Tuition fees refund application. If you have submitted the application for the Opera Universitaria scholarship and you have paid the administrative fee of Euro16,00 submit the online withdrawal from studies application.
