Summary
The study plan is the full set of didactic activities (classes, laboratories, internships, etc.) needed to achieve the degree.
Each degree course foresees a certain number of exams - some are mandatory, others are of your choice: you have to fill in the study plan to choose them. In this way, you can take the exams related to those didactic activities. Examinations of didactic activities that are not present in the record book cannot be registered.
Before submitting the study plan, check the Didactic Offer ('Manifesto') published on the page Rules and Regulations of your Bachelor’s degree course. The course offer may change from year to year, so always consult the Didactic Offer:
When to submit the study plan
There are two time frames for submitting or changing the study plan for the current academic year:
- 1st term: from 9 September to 31 October 2024
- 2nd term: from 20 January to 10 March 2025.
How to sumbit the Study plan in Esse3
You have to submit the study plan online in the reserved area of Esse3 - Menu - Study Plan - Career Plan if you are enrolled for the academic year 2024/2025.
If you are enrolled in the 2nd year of the Bachelor’s degree course in Computer, Communications and Electronic Engineering of the curriculum in Italian, you have to choose the curriculum path in the reserved area of Esse3 - Menu - Career - Curriculum choice and then submit the study plan online.
When to also fill in the study plan form
After having confirmed the study plan in Esse3, in order to:
- add to your record book didactic activities that you did not find when submitting your study plan online in Esse3
- add to your record book didactic activities managed by departments other than yours (students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree course can only include courses from other Bachelor’s degree courses)
- add to your record book didactic activities as “supernumerary” courses, which will not be counted for the credits needed for graduation nor for the weighted average for the degree grade
- delete didactic activities that Esse3 does not allow you to remove from your record book
fill in the Modulo piano di studio - Study plan form and send it via email to the Student Support from your UniTrento mail address (@studenti.unitn.it) within the deadlines. Forms sent from non-UniTrento student email or after the deadlines will not be accepted.
If you are 'expecting to graduate', late with your studies or if Esse3 does not allow you to fill in the study plan
If you are enrolled
- as expecting to graduate ('attesa di laurea') student (you can change your plan only in the 1st time frame and can request the additions of didactic activities offered in the last year in which you renewed your enrollment)
- late with your studies ('fuori corso')
or if you can not fill in your study plan in Esse3, you can fill in the Modulo piano di studio and send it via email to the Student Support from your UniTrento mail address (@studenti.unitn.it) within the deadlines. Forms sent from non-UniTrento student email or after the deadlines will not be accepted.
Check the Career - Record Book
To make sure that the requested changes to your study plan have been successfully made, please check your Esse3 personal area, section Career - Record Book and ensure that all the desired didactic activities are actually present.
The section Study plan - Career plan may not correspond with what is present in the section Career - Record Book, or not all the didactic activities in the Career - Record Book may have a “P” (“Didactic Activity linked to the plan”): do not worry, the important thing is that the section Career - Record Book is complete with the desired teaching activities.
