Master's degrees
Summary
If you are either Italian, EU, or non-EU with a valid Italian stay permit, you can ask directly UniTrento to have your degree recognized.
The degree recognition process can lead either to:
- a partial recognition of your academic studies, which enables you to enrol in the same UniTrento course so that you can take only the missing exams and be awarded UniTrento degree
- or a full recognition of your degree, that is to say a declaration stating that your degree is equivalent to one of UniTrento’s degrees
If you are a non-EU citizen living abroad, please refer to the Italian diplomatic representation in the country to which the education system of your degree refers to.
Your degree recognition application will be then forwarded to UniTrento.
If you just want to know whether you would be admitted to one of UniTrento study courses, you are not asked to undergo the whole recognition process. What you need is a simple evaluation of your previous academic studies, aimed at the admission/enrolment in one of UniTrento courses.
UniTrento study course
Try to identify which UniTrento study course is the closest one to your academic background in terms of name, subjects, length, types of exams, ECTS (in case you have a EU degree).
Needed documents
According to the degree course, please submit to the dedicated Student Support Service:
- the academic credit transfer pre-evaluation form (“Credit Pre-evaluation Form”)
- copy of your University degree, officially translated into Italian
- copy of diploma Supplement (for EU degrees only)
- certificate with the list of the exams taken in order to get University degree, in original or certified copy, officially translated into Italian
- syllabus for each exam taken (subject and bibliography), on home university headed paper and stamp. English, French, German, Italian or Spanish version are needed.
- any additional certificates/degree officially translated into Italian
- copy of an identity document, or passport
You will be informed about the evaluation result within 60 days from application.
Partial recognition of the degree
Should your degree only partially recognized, you might decide to enrol in one of UniTrento courses and, after filling in the gaps by taking the missing exams, obtain UniTrento degree.
If this is the case please carefully check:
Full recognition of the degree
In order to apply for a full recognition of your degree (not aimed at UniTrento enrolment), the needed documents are:
