Tuition fee waiver for Opera Universitaria Scholarship holders
If you applied for the Opera Universitaria Scholarship you are eligible to obtain a waiver of the UniTrento tuition fees and Student welfare provincial tax (TDS).
You are thus required to pay only the € 16 stamp duty to finalise the immatriculation application or yearly renew the enrolment.
How to apply?
If you are enrolling and have already applied for the Scholarship to the Opera Universitaria, you do not need to do anything else.
If you matriculated before applying for the Opera Universitaria Scholarship, you need to notify helptassestudenti@unitn.it after having submitted the scholarship application.
If you are enrolling in your second year or later, in order to apply for the fee waiver:
- submit the application for scholarship on the website of the Opera Universitaria
- and then submit the application for Enrolment renewal for Opera Universitaria scholarship applicants available at "Modulistica online studenti".
If you finalise the enrolment procedure after the deadline of 30 September you will be charged a late payment fee.
The waiver is provisional and will only be confirmed for students deemed eligible in the rankings for the Opera Universitaria Scholarship, when released.
Non-eligible students will be given an appropriate time limit to integrate the payment of the first instalment after the rankings release.
In the event that the scholarship is revoked, the fee waiver is also revoked.
Total and partial waiver of the tuition fees due to ISEE università and merit
For those enrolling in the first year in the 2024/2025 academic year or renewing enrolment up to the first year 'fuori corso' (beyond the normal duration of the course of study), the following fee waivers are provided,:
- a waiver of the UniTrento tuition fees, in case the ISEE università is equal or lower than € 23.000 and merit requirements are fulfilled;
- a partial waiver of the UniTrento tuition fees, in case the ISEE università is between € 23.001 and € 26.000 and merit requirements are fulfilled.
The amounts of contributions, waived or reduced according to the exemptions 1, are shown in the table "Importi contributi universitari a.a. 2024/2025":
It is always to be added the Student welfare provincial tax (TDS), calculated on the basis of the ISEE università, and the € 16 stamp duty to finalise the immatriculation application or yearly renew the enrolment.
"ISEE università" or Equivalent ISEE | Tuition fees Bachelor, Master’s degree and five and six year Master's degrees |
---|---|
up to € 23.000 | € 0,00 |
from € 23.001 to € 24.000 | € 60,00 |
from € 24.001 to € 25.000 | € 120,00 |
from € 25.001 to € 26.000 | € 180,00 |
For students renewing their enrollment after their first year and within the “primo anno fuori corso” (i.e. first year beyond the normal duration of the course) there is also a merit requirement:
- if you are renewing your enrolment from your first to your second a.y. you need to have earned at least 10 CFU between 9 August 2023 and 10 August 2024 (credits for language certificates, IT certificates and for other activities carried out before matriculation are not considered);
- if you are renewing your enrolment from the second to the third or subsequent year until the first “fuori corso”, you need to have earned at least 25 CFU between 9 August 2023 and 10 August 2024 (credits for language certificates, IT certificates and for other activities carried out before matriculation are not considered).
The amount of earned CFUs will be automatically calculated on the Esse3 system, according to the examination transcripts recorded by the examiners.
How to obtain the waiver?
If the tuition fee waiver has not already been applied to the amount of the first fee instalment, it takes the form of a reimbursement and applies only to those who have paid tuition fees for a.y. 2024/25: beneficiaries will be informed about the procedure and deadlines to apply for this reimbursement via email, when the merit checks are completed.
The reimbursement amount is calculated on the ISEE value, according to the value ranges indicated in the tables.
