The ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) is the tool used in Italy to assess household income and assets for providing social subsidies and support.
Tuition fees and contributions, exemptions and scholarships or other benefits and services within the framework of the Right to Education are based on the equivalent ISEE.
You should request an ISEE equivalent (“ISEE parificato”), if you are:
- a person resident abroad
- a person resident in Italy and you are not financially independent from your family resident abroad.
If you have applied for admission to a study program for non-EU students, you do not have to request the Equivalent ISEE, as you fall under a different taxation system.
For information and questions please refer to the webpage ISEE University value for students.
