Summary
The Master’s Degree in Physics has open access for Italian, European and non-European citizens resident in Italy, who can enroll by applying for evaluation of admission requirements.
The access for non-European citizens not resident in Italy is limited and based on a selection through a specific call for applications: Call, admission procedures and rankings for non EU citizens not resident in Italy.
The admission procedures described in this website are for Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy apply by requesting the verification of admission requirements.
Admission requirements for Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy
In order to be admitted Italians, European citizens and non-European citizens living in Italy must have:
- a Bachelor's Degree
- 84 ECTS in mathematics and physics subjects (Italian classification: SSD MAT/* and SSD FIS/*), of which at least 24 ECTS in mathematics and 54 ECTS in physics
- an adequate personal preparation, including a B2 level English proficiency.
Verification of admission requirements
In order to enroll in the course, you must submit the online application form for verification of admission requirements. The outcome will be communicated by email.
You can submit your application even if you have not graduated yet.
Documents required for evaluation will be specified on the application form.
If you do not meet the educational requirements
If you do not meet all the educational requirements you can take the needed exams within the deadline for enrolment by registering to single classes for Master's Degree courses.
Once you have achieved all the educational requirements, write an email to the Student support service in order to proceed with the enrolment.
If you do not meet the language requirement
If you do not meet the language requirement, you can take an English proficiency test at the Language Centre (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo - CLA).

Once you have achieved the language requirement, write an email to the Student support service in order to proceed with the enrolment.
Interview
You can be request to take an admission interview in oder to verify your personal preparation.
The Student Support Service will put you in contact with the lecturer in charge via email, you will arrange with them when and how.
You do not have to take the interview when:
- you have at least 30 ECTS in mathematics subjects (Italian classification: SSD MAT/*) and 90 ECTS in physics subjects (Italian classification: SSD FIS/*)
and - your graduation grade is 95/110 or higher (or equivalent).
How to enrol
When the Student Support confirms that you fulfill all admission requirements, fill in the enrolment request on Esse3.
The deadline for enrolment for the academic year 2023/2024 is 22 December 2023.
Yearly enrollment a.y. 2023/2024
As you receive from UniTrento the email confirming your enrollment application, you must complete the yearly enrollment within 7 days.
Yearly enrollment is needed to 'activate' your enrollment and be able to use all the services.
